Chris Brown has once again proved he can dodge accountability better than a dance routine. After being dragged—again—for colorism, Breezy hit that deactivate button on social media faster than he hits a high note. And honestly? Are we shocked? Not even a little.

The latest mess started when two women went viral on TikTok claiming they were denied VIP access at his Detroit show, even though lighter-skinned girls waltzed right in with no issues. Not only were they stalled, but his entourage reportedly made them audition—yes, spin around and perform—just to get a wristband. Meanwhile, the mixed, light, and “paper-bag test approved” girls got their passes without lifting a finger. Tokyo Vanity called this out years ago, and now fans are seeing receipts in real time.

And Chris’s response? Instead of addressing the very obvious colorism claims, he tried damage control by bringing Kayla Nicole on stage. Kayla gushed that it was “for the brown-skinned girls,” but critics called it a PR stunt. Like girl, please—if grinding on stage with Chris Brown is civil rights work, then Rosa Parks owes us a remix.

Chris then posted, “Miss me with the colorist rage baiting,” before pulling the plug on his account. But fans aren’t letting it slide. Bringing Summer Walker on stage later didn’t help either—it just screamed optics, optics, optics.

Here’s the thing: Chris Brown is undeniably talented. He can sing, dance, and give you a viral moment. But does he have a long history of excluding darker-skinned women? Also yes. Preference is one thing, but building your entire image around excluding Black women who don’t fit your “light and bright” aesthetic is another. And if that’s the energy, dark-skinned women owe him zero streams, zero ticket sales, and zero support.
